FREE BYRD is a silly movie with an important message: senior citizens want and deserve our respect AND they deserve to have some fun along the way. FREE BYRD is everything an indie film of this genre should be – heartwarming, humorous and highly recommended.
I love movies with a heartfelt message and leave me feeling good in the end. This movie speaks to the human condition of leaving our dreams behind and complying with the idea we must conform to societal norms. I loved how the characters flew as free birds in the end. A lovely message about freedom.
Jay’s heart was in the right place …the whole premise of the movie was to give our elders the respect and understanding they deserve and want. Fun movie, a few surprises and twists, even a couple of lessons to be learned along the way.
The acting is tremendous, the storyline compelling AND HILARIOUS. Whether you are in your 40’s and dealing with old parents or YOU ARE an old parent, you will love this movie!! It’s a road trip, it’s a family drama, it’s madcap insanity!!
Just what the Dr ordered! Was perpetually kept ‘wondering’ what was coming next, but the ballet of the quadruple plots kept me on my toes!! Not only was it a heart-warmer, it carried multilayered life messages from start to finish.
A middle-aged underachieving van driver, Jay (Randy Nazarian), is assigned to drive an irascible senior, Harry (Raymond J. Barry), to a new home. Along the way they have a series of misadventures, including being picked up by a troupe of burlesque dancers led by Red (Shondrella Avery) and performing an impromptu comedy act. An enlightening journey that gives both men new perspective on life.
